The best thing I do for good cuts in plywood is use a GREAT blade! The FOREST BRAND is the best money can buy!

4/7/2012 06:26:52 AM Report AbuseI have a rigid 10" with a granite top and i can cut a 4x8 3/4" ply with no problem.
4/5/2012 07:36:42 PM Report AbuseI've cut what seems to be a million doors as carpenter for the U S Government. I have used a Porter Cable 7 1/2" circ. saw and a Dewalt Ultra Fine Blade since they came out. I use a guide and drop the blade 1/2 of a tooth below the panel and always get good cuts even on old hollow core panels. The especially works well on plywood. Remember good side down with a circ saw.
4/5/2012 07:06:03 PM Report AbuseI got the EZ-Smart track system, and a nice Freud fine cut blade for my circ saw. Much safer than trying to manhandle a 4X8 sheet across a table saw, accuracy is great, and cut quality's really good. I think tracksaws are the way to go for sheet goods. And I don't work for any of those companies!
