Staying mentally sharp is my favorite and very important. Working when tired can cause carelessness. Also don't work when upset. I did once...once. My mother was ill, and called me while I was in the shop. After I hung up I went back to the table saw, and was thinking so much about what was going on with her, that I nearly separated two finger tips from my hand. I had to take a trip to ER, and everything turned out fine, but the lesson was painfully learned.
