Haunched Tenons

Pages in this Story:
Move the rip fence

Move the rip fence

Move the rip fence 1/4" closer to the dado set and lock it in place. Place the rail against the miter gauge with the grooved edge up. Make a series of passes to form the haunched shoulder of the tenon. You should be able to butt the end of the workpiece against the rip fence for the final pass, but test the fit before making that pass.

To get the complete article printed together to take to the shop, just "copy" on each section and paste each of them into a single document in your word processor and then print your new document.

The next page selection only applies to the comments. The additional pages of the article are list at the top where it says "pages in this story". This is different but easy to figure out.

To get hard copies just pick the page you want and press the "PRTSC" or (print screen). Then open a word document and "Paste". The page should appear and then you can "crop" it and resize. Press "enter" to move down one line. Add the next page in like manner.
