A two-bit solution to 1/16" spacing

When aligning drawer fronts and doors, 1/16" spacing is just about perfect. And any woodworker with a few quarters in his pocket has a handy supply of ready-made spacers. The details from the photos below show this government-issue tool hard at work.

step one
The quarter sets a 1/16" gap between the sleeper and drawer faces and the case bottom.

step two
The quarter positions the door 1/16" above the upper case bottom.

step 3
The quarter leaves a 1/16" gap between the doors and the filler.
