Free tablesaw miter sled woodworking plan

This miter-cutting sled offers a dual-rail guidance system that rides in the miter-gauge slots of your tablesaw and smooth-acting stops that ride in tracks. It also features a safety channel down the middle to keep your hands away from the tablesaw blade.

you can use a chop saw but you'll never get a more precise cut than by using your table saw, it's the best tool for really nice cuts.

Downloaded and built the sled, works great, love it. Then I needed to miter some frames that were higher the the blade on my table saw, so I added a fence to the front of the sled and used my radial arm saw, worked great! Now I have two sleds for the price of one.

A chop saw can be used, however this sled is a much more accurate solution, and is great for small parts also.

Mine is a bit simpler. I put painter's tape on the diagonals which eliminated slippage.
