This is a great plan. I made three of them out of bird's eye maple and wenge for my grandson. I made the following modifications. Eliminated the middle drawer to make the top box deeper to accomodate 2 sliding trays. Made the bottom drawer shorter so a small secret box can slide behind it. Also included a 21/2" diameter frame in the middle of the inside of the lid to display a photo.
