Rout and miter-cut the frame pieces
3. Rout a 1/4" cove along an edge of each inner member. Then laminate the inner, center, and outer members together in the configuration shown [Drawing 2, Photo A] to form two blanks.
4. Angle your tablesaw blade 10° from vertical. Then bevel-rip the outer member of each blank, where dimensioned [Drawings 2 and 2a]. Sand the beveled edge. Now, using a dado blade, cut a 1/4" rabbet 5/8" deep along the inner member of each blank.
5. Miter-cut a 191/4"-long piece from each blank for the frame top/bottom (A), and a 15"-long piece from each of the remaining blanks for the frame sides (B) [Photo B].

The Presidential dollar coins are not going to be circulated after James Garfield. They will only be available above face value to collectors from coin companies like Franklin Mint. The common circulated coins we had been able to collect from banks have been discontinued.
