You'll love the traditional styling and no-nonsense construction of this project. To help speed the bookcase through your shop, we've sourced mail-order feet. But, should you want to turn your own feet, we've included a full-size pattern on the downloadable plan at the end of the story. And, you can give the bookshelf a touch of your own personal style by simply choosing a different foot and routing a different profile on the face-frame stiles.

Just downloaded the plans and they include the entire article with step by step instructions. Easy to download...even from Bucerias, Mexico! Saved the .pdf file to my hard drive so that i can use these plans as I build bookcases for the new house!
2/3/2012 06:19:21 AM Report AbuseI clicked on Free download bookcase plan and all Igot was a bunch of advertisment and other junk. I already have your sud don't talk out the side of your face. Could get me to spend else where. Lowell R Garrett
2/2/2012 11:26:20 AM Report AbuseWoops, I forgot to mention that to print the plan just click on the printer icon on the Adobe page.
2/2/2012 10:49:07 AM Report AbuseIt works as advertised. Click on the link described in other posts. If you have Adobe installed on your computer it should open and you should be able to view the plan. There is an advertisement for other Wood products on the first page but just scroll down and you will find the plans complete with readable cutting list and materials list. If you have back issues of Wood, this plan appears to be from the October 2005 issue as noted in the lower right corner of the pages. Enjoy
2/2/2012 10:46:56 AM Report AbuseThe materials list IS IN the entire downloadable plan on the last page of every free plan. Granted to images are low resolution on the individual web pages; but you need to download the ENTIRE PLAN and it clearly shows everything you need to know. Just my two cents, but I think most complaints about these plans are user error!
2/2/2012 10:38:10 AM Report AbuseTo print, you hit the "print" button and a new page will pop up. You then Right click on mouse or pad and then select print on pop-up menu.
2/2/2012 10:20:39 AM Report AbuseChas - I just tried the print function. After clicking on Print I then hit Ctl + P (IBM shortcut for print) and had no problem.
2/2/2012 10:20:12 AM Report Abusei can not get it to print the free plan i have tried several times and many months how do you do it??????????
2/2/2012 10:03:08 AM Report AbuseGrandpa Joe's comment may be concerning the popup for a subscription offer that appears when you first go to the first page describing the bookcase. It's easily closed by clicking on the "x" or "close" button. It is annoying though.
2/2/2012 10:00:35 AM Report AbuseNo, I am able to get a free plan every month. At the end you will see the PDF button to use for downloading.
2/2/2012 09:58:51 AM Report AbuseGrandpa, not sure what you are referring to but if you click on the last page "using the crosscut sled" at the bottom of that page is a link for the download, no purchase needed. Hope this helps.
