Introducing Project Showcase: Show Us What You've Created

 

We've shown you what's new from the WOOD magazine workshop. Now, let's see the latest from your workshop. In an upcoming new series called "Project Showcase," we'll present our favorite woodworking projects submitted by WOOD magazine readers.

To be considered, a project should be an original design of your own creation, whether it's as small as a jewelry box or large as a bed. We'll evaluate each entry for creativity and craftsmanship, then show our thanks by giving a new tool to the contributor of our favorite project that's featured in the magazine.

Interested? Please include the following with each project submission:

• A description of the project that includes its materials, building methods, and most distinctive features. Include such details as the outside dimensions, wood finish, unusual techniques or skills involved, the time required to complete the project, and any additional information you want fellow readers to know.
  
  

• Photographs showing the project against a white or neutral color background, or in an unobstructed room setting. Digital photos must be a minimum of 300 dpi at 8" wide or high in the camera's original format. Please do not attempt to alter or color-correct the original image. We will also accept color slides. Do not send black-and-white or color prints. If you wish to e-mail digital photos and your Internet service cannot handle the large file sizes involved, please contact us at 515/284-3538 to make arrangements.
