Wall mounted miter saw on hinges that retracts close to the wall. The hinges are attached to a 2x6 that is lag screwed into the wall. The result is a very solid wide cutting platform. The saw is mounted to a separate piece of plywood that is slightly bigger than the area of the saw when stowed at a 60 degree angle. The plywood attached to the hinges has t-nuts in it so the saw can be removed for work outside my shop. The dust collection has a hose attached to it that fits into my shop vac. The result is increased dust collection. There is a foot switch on the floor to turn on and off the shop vac.
