I love it because it is simple, functional and beautiful. I do hope you are in a dry climate. I am in a wet climate and have had terrible mold/mildew problems with finishing outdoor wooden furniture with boiled Linseed oil. Within a few months it turns black. Maybe that is not so much a problem with Redwood?
