A leading consumer reporting publication did an extensive test of various materials. One characteristic they tested for, for composite materials, is sagging between joists. Only one product they tested does not sag, and it has a 25 year warranty, a unique installation system and is gorgeous. I replaced my decking last fall and so far there's no sagging at all. It is beautiful. Costs more short term, but big savings long term.

Pretty helpful article! I just completed my own outdoor deck build with help from Joe's Deck Plans, one of my top deck designs resources. Best of luck everyone.

The only thing that is missing is pvc decking such as azek. It is so much better than composite and super easy to install and does not get anywhere near as hot as composite.
