Bigger isn't always better

When planning a new shop, a lot of woodworkers figure that bigger is better. But Keith Schwartztrauber found the small, third stall of his Las Vegas garage was perfect for his needs. "Neither car would fit there," he says of the space intended for a golf cart. "I don't have a lot of room, but with almost every square foot of wall space used for something, I can still rip a full 8' sheet of plywood in my shop."

First, I would like to say that this is a GREAT looking shop!!The shop computer is something I couldn't do without in my own shop. However, I have to agree with "pogybait". I think I would have taken a little extra time to put the wiring where I needed it instead of just running extension cords. That's what I did in my shop. I put outlets everywhere I needed them. It was worth my time and money in the long run.

Why is it that every shop shown by WOOD magazine has terrible electrical wiring somewhere in the photo; i.e. 3 cords to one outlet for the light fixture above the fire extinquisher and other yellow 12 guage romex strung EXPOSED to the right.
