17 Mitersaw and Stand

We supported our mitersaw on a stand that sits at the same height as the top of the closed lathe cabinet. This allows us to use the top of the lathe cabinet (when closed) as a support table when miter-cutting long stock. In the open position the lathe cabinet has a handy area for locating turning patterns. The area below the miter stand makes for a handy place to place our garbage/cut-off can. Sorry, no plan exists for this project.

This one project was responsible forgetting me wholly involved into woodworking. These are the best ever, in fact this whole Idea Shop 3 series is absolutely the best. I still build these every time I add a somewhat stationary tool to my shop.
