I was inspired by the Hammock outlined in the blog by Lucas Peters and am attempting to build one. I was going to use Cypress, but am having difficulty finding it. However I did find some reclaimed Mahogany.
1) Is Mahogany a good outdoors wood?
2) Is this a good ‘bending’ wood?
3) Can Mahogany take the stress and strain of a Hammock.
Thanks for your help.

Hi, I was wondering what is the distance between your the two hanging points on your stand.
The hammock I have is 13.5 feet long. I am wondering if I should use 10foot lengths for my arcs.
