What is the best way to keep wood spinner blands in place when the wood changes size.

I have made some wood spinners for my friends out of cedar and they work great but the “blades” can be moved after sitting in the sun for a few days even through the nuts on both end are tight. I have tried spraying them with Helmsman spray urethane but that did not keep them from being moved out of place. Do you have any idea of how or what I can use to keep them in place for the long haul? I have tried to glue each one but that didn’t work to well. I would love to use kind of spray.
